Runners, cyclists, trekkers, travelers, families, friends, and volunteers: the Joints in Motion program offers once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for everyone! Not only can participants travel to exciting overseas destinations, but you have the chance to form lifelong friendships with fun, dedicated and remarkable people from across Canada and around the world—while raising money for arthritis research that will benefit millions!
The Arthritis Society of Canada is once again preparing for its popular Joint in Motion fundraiser, partnering with the hundreds of Canadians ready to take up the challenge and raise funds for vital arthritis research. Members can choose from a list of destinations and a wide variety of physical challenges, from a marathon to a 10K race to a multi-day trek or cycling event. Destinations for 2012 include the gorgeous highlands of Iceland, the colourful streets of Prague, the stunning mountains of Switzerland, and the scenic vineyards of southern France. The Arthritis Society will not only provide your airfare, accommodations, and entry fees, but will work with you to tailor a personalized training program to meet your fitness goals. To date, over 5,000 Joints in Motion participants have raised more than $30 million to support research and programs for the more than four million Canadians living with arthritis.
Run, walk, cycle or hike for the Arthritis Hero in your life, and make a difference for those in your community who fight this dehabilitating disease.
