About Me

Hi, I’m Roger Carr. A few years ago I searched and discovered my life purpose. Many wonderful things happened since then as I deliberately set out to “help people help others.”
I am now a writer and speaker on the subject of making a difference. Thousands of people have read my articles. Many readers have responded that they are now giving back in new ways due to the encouragement I provided. Isn’t that exciting?

One of the first things I set out to do was to learn about fundraising. I contacted a nonprofit organization that was supporting a cause important to me. Within two days, I had a leadership role on the planning committee for a local charity walk. In less than a year I was the chairperson.

I have been able to perform in several roles in support of charity walks, experiencing things that worked well (and some that didn’t). I have also seen the power of charity walks. They are much more valuable than just the money they raise.

I want you and the organization you are supporting to be successful. Take advantage of this network and learn and share all that you can about charity walks. You will be glad you did.

The tools to create these videos now make the creation of these videos easy. In the time you write a short article, you could…See More

Hi Roger, thank you for the friend request. Looking to get ideas for our annual fundraiser - we're a small private non-profit organization in CT and I think a walk-a-thon would be a great way to get our supporters together and raise some money for a good cause. New at this, hoping we can share ideas. Thanks again.

Hi Roger,

Thank you so much for the wonderful comments and encouragement. We try and make it a fun, family event and even encourage parents to bring young children in strollers.

We already have 20 members signed up via active and are hoping that the number grows more and more everyday.

Our goal this year is 1,000 runners/walkers and we are grateful for any help we can get with promoting our race.

Have a great day, maybe we will see you in the runway.

P.S. I look forward to checking out your videos and getting some tips for our race.
