Using social media to promote charity walks has significant potential. This is due to the significant number of people actively involved in the social networks. But the significant numbers of people actively involved can make it more difficult to get attention from others.
Animated video can be fun to watch and be different enough to harness some of the needed attention. The tools to create these videos now make the creation of these videos easy. In the time you write a short… Continue

Every year we wait for the monsoon season to come and beat the heat of summer’s spell. The lovely rains that blossoms the trees and lightens up the atmosphere, the wonderful weather where romanticism revolves in the air for 2 months atleast. It’s altogether a lovely feeling throughout July and August.
It rained on the morning of the Richmond Arthritis Walk, but that didn't dampen the spirits of the many who turned out to support the fight against arthritis.
The charity walk event was held on April 24, 2010… Continue

On Saturday, I attended the 2009 Richmond Jingle Bell Run/Walk. It was fun watching so many people enthusiastic about participating. Runners and walkers of all ages turned out to support the Arthritis Foundation. Check out some of the photos I captured at the charity event in Richmond, Virginia below.
Roger asked me to give a little introduction so here is my plug. I have been working the past few years to design a free, on-line fundraising platform. The name of our site is BEEx.org but there isn't much up there yet besides our silly little blog. However, the site will be completed after Thanksgiving Break so if anyone would like to be a Beta tester then let me know, we would love to have people in the charity walk world giving us feedback.
Our fundraising goal has been set for the 2010 Fredericksburg Arthritis Walk. The goal is over 2X what was raised for the 2009 event!
I am looking forward to see the planning team step up to the challenge. I have been meeting with the other co-chair and the staff person assigned to this event. We are confident we can meet the goal, but it will take a larger team of dedicated volunteers than we have had… Continue

No one should take a Car donation for granted. Your car means nothing to you if you leave it in your driveway. Not only is it an eye sore, it's not benefiting anybody. The best option is to donate your car to donations like Outreach Center, a place that fixes up cars to use them as delivery options for needy children.… Continue
