2010 Charity Walk Challenge

Our fundraising goal has been set for the 2010 Fredericksburg Arthritis Walk. The goal is over 2X what was raised for the 2009 event!

I am looking forward to see the planning team step up to the challenge. I have been meeting with the other co-chair and the staff person assigned to this event. We are confident we can meet the goal, but it will take a larger team of dedicated volunteers than we have had in the past.

The first meeting of the planning team is tomorrow. I am interested in seeing how they jump in and start planning. We have some additional goals to set. We have several volunteer assignments that need to be filled. Fortunately, we already know there are some new volunteers who will be attending the meeting.

I plan to blog here from time to time about our progress and some of the things we are doing to step it up a notch (or two). We are currently evaluating a tool for use in helping to coordinate our volunteer activities. The tool is VolunteerSpot. It appears to hold a lot of promise for what we need.
